Flea treating your furry friends
With the change in season, extra adventuring and increased temperatures over the summer days, your furry friends often become exposed to irritable fleas, ticks or lice. The flea life cycle can be a long one – from what is usually between 3-8 weeks can become 3-months or more if not treated early. If the time of application is not strictly adhered to, there may be re-infestation in your home or office, driving you and your pet apart via pet to human transfer.
It can take months to rid your home or office and pet from fleas, so you need protection that lasts through applying regular treatments at 3 to 6 month intervals. This protects both your staff and family from exposure.
What are the symptoms of formication? The main symptom of formication is the sensation of bugs crawling on or underneath your skin. This feeling also causes you to feel itchy. This can cause you to scratch your skin where you feel the sensation, even if there’s no actual cause of the itch.
However, in some cases, formication can be an indication that there are indeed ‘bugs and other crawling creatures’ meandering through your home! So here’s where we can help…
Our treatment services
|Bug Type/Surface Area||Treatment|
|Cockroaches, ants and fleas||We recommend a barrier spray around heavy infestations and around the perimeter of the room is recommended. A perimeter spray around buildings will help also control outdoor cockroach species.|
|Around electrical equipment and powerpoints (e.g. where sprays are not suitable or safe)||We can apply specialised baits for both cockroaches and ants respectively|
|Floors and soft furnishings||We can apply non-toxic sprays at a minimum of 5 litres per 100m2 – less spray is applied for harder surfaces.|
|Carpets||To prep initially, these should be thoroughly wet so the spray liquid will contact fleas deep in the carpet pile. Do not use a mister. Once carpet is dry it will be safe to re-enter, after a 4-hour settling period post service.|
